Discover Prague Tour - 4 hours is an extended version of the Discover Prague Tour which lasts 3 hours. It simply gives you more time to see the main highlights of Prague! There are two options to this tour - driven or walking. Driven option allows you to cover more areas in less time and it is a lot more comfortable. The idea is to walk around the place of interest, then drive a bit to another landmark, then step outside and walk again and so on.
Our private tour guide will pick you up at the place of your stay in Prague (hotel, airbnb etc.) or at any other place in Prague of your choice (restaurant). In the walking option we will cover the main highlights of Prague, such as the Republic Square, Powder Gate, Municipal House, Estate Theater, Old Town Square with the famous Astronomical clock, Jewish Quarter, Charles bridge, Little Quarter, Prague Castle District, Strahov Monastery and the Prague Castle. On the driven version of the tour we will cover the dancing house, crypt of the paratroopers, Strahov stadium, Wenceslas Square and more. Since this is a private tour, we can adjust it to meet your interest. For example the tour can focus on a certain type of architecture, a historical period or famous personality.
This beautiful square lies on the border between the Old Town and the New Town of Prague. It is unique for having 4 landmarks built in 4 different architectural styles. The oldest style is the gothic style represented by the Powder gate from 1475. The Powder gate was rebuilt in the 19th century by Josef Mocker in the neo gothic style. Next to the Powder gate stands the most beautiful example of art nouveau style in Prague - the Municipal house. Built in 1911, the Municipal house was meant to be a representative building standing on the main route from two railroad stations in Prague to the city center. On the 28th of October 1918, the treaty of independence of Czechoslovakia was signed on the first floor.
