Private Tour to Czech Paradise and Trosky Castle
Our private guide will pick you up in the lobby of your hotel in Prague and together you will go on a private hiking tour to the Czech Paradise. The Czech Paradise is a nature reserve located 1 hour drive to the North-East of Prague. It has been a popular destination for hikers since the 19th century when the name Czech Paradise appeared for the first time. The area has been protected by law since 1955. Visitors are attracted by beautiful sceneries made by erosion of the sandstone hills. Sandstone was originally sand on the bottom of the ocean that was compressed into a stone. The Czech Republic has a lot of sandstone because 90 millions of years ago it was the bottom of an ocean.

Trosky Castle
Perched dramatically on two ancient basalt volcanic plugs in the heart of the Bohemian Paradise (Český ráj), Trosky Castle is one of the Czech Republic’s most iconic and photogenic ruins.
Its unmistakable silhouette features two towers: the lower, robust Baba (“Crone”) and the taller, slender Panna (“Maiden”). Built at the end of the 14th century by Čeněk of Vartenberg, the castle cleverly used the steep rocky outcrops for natural defense, making it nearly impregnable during the Hussite Wars.
Today, visitors can explore the atmospheric Gothic ruins, climb for panoramic views over sandstone cliffs and rolling forests, and experience the unique fusion of medieval history and dramatic geology that makes Trosky a true symbol of the region.
Perfect for private tours seeking a blend of history, legend, and breathtaking scenery.
